Washington, DC's New Museum-Museum of Crime & Punishment
The $21 million Museum of Crime and Punishment opens in the Penn Quarter today, May 23, 2008. The museum shows crimes and punishments in a variety of ways: high-speed police chase simulator, bullet-riddled car used in the Bonnie and Clyde movie, scale models of a guillotine, gas chamber and "Old Sparky"--Tennessee electric chair. The museum traces the history of crime and its many consequences. Tickets are $17.95 for adults and 14.95 for children 5-11 years old.
